Chiropody
Chiropody appointments focus on conditions on the surface of your feet: hard skin, corns, callus, verrucae, nail cutting and simple in-growing toe nails. Young feet, old feet, working feet and party feet can all develop chiropody problems. Often feet that have bony lumps develop more hard skin. Feet with underlying medical problems like Diabetic or Rhematoid diseases need more care.
Preparation
Your first appointment should be booked for 30 minutes. Just give us a ring, tell us you are new, and the receptionist will take it from there. You don't need to bring anything special, just easy-to-remove socks and shoes. Please help us by removing any nail varnish.
What to expect
Your first appointment includes a health questionnaire, foot health assessment, and treatment up to 30 minutes. The treatment is normally completed on this appointment – unless your feet need a lot of work. We also give you any advice that may prevent the problem coming back. If there is time, we give you foot massage with Trevano Organic foot oils or creams. We can book your follow-on appointment, arrange for a reminder to be sent, or call when your feet need attention. You can book follow-on appointments at 30 minutes for a full treatment or 15 minutes if there is only one problem to be treated.
Diabetic and Rheumatoid Foot Care
Patients with Diabetes and Rheumatoid Arthritis with a foot pain or wounds are offered a same day* appointment, so let our receptionist know of your condition. We undertake an Annual Diabetic Foot Risk Assessment for all our regular diabetic patients.
In-Growing Toe Nails
Same day* appointments are recommended for anyone with an in-growing toe nail.
*Next day if a Podatrist is not on site.
